I am an amateur woodworker with only a few small projects under my belt.  This blog is to document my projects and skill progression along my woodworking journey.  I have a small collection of tools, both power and hand, and will be getting to know them all.

A few years ago, my wife and I purchased a foreclosure home that we are slowly renovating.  For now, my workspace is a portion of the half-basement (the house is a split foyer, so only the lower half of the bottom floor is below grade).  That area will eventually become our family room, at which point I will be without a workspace.  As we renovate the house, my woodworking projects will likely be fairly small, but perfect for building my skills.

We had planned to add a 12′ x 20′ workshop behind the house, but that doesn’t really make sense with our long term plans any more.  I will likely have to wait until we purchase our next home to have a proper workshop.  Until then, I’ll do what I can with the space that I have.
